The State of AI in The Enterprise: Research Launch

Introduction & Background

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become one of the hottest topics in the business world in recent years, with more and more enterprise organisations integrating AI into their strategies. The ability of AI to automate tasks, improve decision-making, and drive innovation has made it a game-changer for many industries. From finance to healthcare, retail to manufacturing, AI is transforming the way businesses operate and compete. Q1 of 2023 alone has seen an explosion of big industry movements with the likes of ChatGPT and BARD seeking to grab market share in what will become an increasingly competitive landscape in the years ahead.

However, we are on the cusp of a wave and many organisations are standing asking themselves…

1) What do we need to establish a clear and business value driven AI strategy?

2) Do we have high quality data and is it accessible to fuel our Machine Learning (ML) and AI demands?

3) Do our people have the requisite skills to safely and securely scale AI in our business? If not, how do we acquire them?

4) What happens if AI causes harm to our customers, our business or the wider market?

5) How do we establish an AI ethics framework?

6) Where do we start in terms of integrating AI into our business processes and systems of record?

These are questions that more often than not, Mesh-AI colleagues answer on a weekly basis. Subsequently, we have decided to do something about it!

Enter stage left, Mesh-AI’s State of AI in the Enterprise Research Study…

The State of AI in the Enterprise

We are excited to announce the launch of a new research study aimed at exploring the state of adoption of AI in enterprise organisations. This questionnaire-based research is designed to gain insights into how organisations are currently using AI, what their future plans are for AI adoption, and what challenges they face in implementing AI technologies.

This research is crucial as AI continues to transform the business landscape, and understanding its adoption within enterprise organisations is essential for businesses and policymakers alike.

To support industry’s collective need to understand AI maturity, our survey will cover the following dimensions:

- About Your Organisation

- AI Strategy

- AI Readiness

- AI Literacy

- Ethics & Regulation

- Skills & Talent

The research will conclude in Q3 of 2023 and will be used as part of an ongoing annual research study to track the progress of AI adoption in enterprise organisations over time. Similarly, our findings will be published in Q3 of this year and shared with industry through a number of briefings, events and media channels.

We invite all large, medium and small enterprise organisations to participate in this study and contribute to the growing body of knowledge on AI adoption.
